Our Story

As a result of a fire which destroyed Mark and Bambie Getz’s home, their family moved from Hartford, MI to Millburg in 2001. It was then that God made Bambie aware of the hundreds of Mexican families who lived on farms and worked the fields.

In 2004 God led Sophia to begin having Bible Clubs in the migrant camps. Then, in 2007 a friend donated money to build a large picnic shelter in order to have a meeting place for the children, and that's how God birthed Day Camp! With the Lord's help, Michigan Migrant Ministries became an official nonprofit organization in 2015. Over the years hundreds of children and their parents have heard the Gospel. Many seeds have been planted and we trust the power of God's Word for a precious harvest of souls. May the Lord receive all the glory for what He started!
